Update, Updates
posted January 25, 2010 by marySince it's been sometime (since before Christmas) I figured it was time to update you all on our lives once again. Our little girls both enjoyed Christmas very much, unfortunately Gretchen who destroys EVERYTHING otherwise wasn't too interested in opening her gifts but she's certainly enjoyed her new toys since. Her favorite seems to be a very noisy lawnmower that we maybe shouldn't have gotten her :)
Gretchen is learning so much, she's started really jabbering and we can actually make out some of what she's saying now. Her new favorite things seems to be "uh, oh". She doesn't repeat much but she is picking up a new phrase every week or so. She's saying, Hi, Bye, All Done, Bob (which seems to be grayce's name) Mama, Dada and her favorite seems to be Ha Ha. Our quiet little girl isn't so quiet anymore! She's always been so pensive and to herself. Now she doesn't let you get a word in edge wise!
We recently got a call from Grayce's teacher, she has been officially placed in Accelerated Reading, we are both so proud. Her reading level has far exceeded what I expected her to be capable of and the great thing is that she LOVES to read! She's so smart and I see more and more each day what she's learning. It amazes me just how much she knows on a daily basis.
