Can, not, WAIT!!
posted April 11, 2009 by maryOur vacation is just under 3 weeks away. I can't believe that we are going to be on a vacation, without children, in such a short amount of time! We've been trying to get ourselves as prepared as possible, creating lists, purchasing items that we'll need ect. and I swear we think of something new every day that we get closer to our departure. It's one thing to pack for ourselves for the week, but also for two children, one being 7 months old.. makes things a little more difficult! As you all can imagine.
I can't believe that Gretchen is 7 months old (well, in a few weeks). It doesn't seem like she's already out of the infant stage and moving very swiftly toward the toddler stage. Just the other day she had teeth cut through. TEETH!!! Unreal. She shouldn't be cutting teeth already, she's going to be crawling before we know it! She and Grayce are both scheduled for shots at the end of this month. I don't know how I will do seeing both of them cry from the shots. Grayce hasn't had shots in quite some time and I'm sure it's going to be very traumatic for her!
Grayce can't seem to stop talking about Kindergarten. The child is thrilled that she'll soon be going to the "big kid school" and riding the "big bus". Literally every day she makes some reference to it. "Mom, when I go to Kindergarten can I take a banana in my lunch?" This is just an example of what I hear every day. She's started reading now too, READING! Our little girl! Missy helped her when we were home last and she's taken off since then. She's reading signs, labels, pizza boxes. Whatever she can get her hands on she's sounding things out and surprising me all the time.
I think that's the gist of what is going on in our lives right now. Hopefully I'll update again before we take off, if not we will be posting photos while were gone. Again, I CAN'T WAIT!! haha.
