posted August 11, 2009 by maryIt's amazing how little time it takes to miss your kids unbearably when they are away. We've been away from the girls for 48 hours and I can't wait to get them back already!!
Our house is so quiet that it doesn't even seem like our house right now. It's nice to have a few nights with Derrik to go out without children, but we already miss them like crazy.
We dropped the girls off in Lafayette over the weekend and shortly after we arrived we got news that Derrik's Grandma had, had a heart attack. Luckily everything turned out good and the St. Elizabeth staff took excellent care of her. We cannot thank the Doctors and Nurses on staff enough for saving her life. We love you Grandma Betty and we are so happy that you are going to make a full recovery!
Last night we went out for dinner with friends, 1/2 price pizza at Nick's is always a good reason to go out! Haha, thank you for dining with us John and Sherri we'll have to do it again soon with the girls!
I'll be sure to update this when the girls return, they'll probably be like brand new children when they get back :)
