Fun, fun, FUN!

This past weekend we went to a Chicago Wolves hockey game (THANKS VIENNA BEEF!!) Derrik won tickets through a facebook contest and the four of us got to go for free! We ended up sitting in the 200 level just behind the net. Not our favorite spot for sure, but they were pretty good seats. I ended up sitting one row behind Derrik and Grayce though since they had nothing to protect a child from falling through to the first level!! It ended up being fine though since the row behind us was practically empty.
The beginning of the game has a major pyrotechnics show. Fire plumes, some fireworks and crazy loud music. Gretchen was mesmerized at first until it got really loud (even with me holding my hands over her ears).
Once the opening was over and they started playing though she was back to normal, I am so blessed to have such a happy baby!! She ended up watching the girls behind us more than she watched the hockey though!
All in all it was a good time, it really is more geared toward the kids that come than the adults. They really pack on the goof factor to get kids excited.
Yesterday we had our first parent teacher conference. It was nice to sit down with Grayce's teacher and get an insight on what goes on while she's at school! She got a really good report and is already "above average" in her reading. She's supposed to be at a certain level when she finishes Kindergarten and she's already exceeded that. They expect to put her into an accelerated reading group soon! We were so proud!
Two more days until Turkey day! Cannot wait to see our friends John and Sherri and just a few days later we get to see my Grandma and rest of my crazy family! YAY!!
Everyone have a SAFE and happy Thanksgiving!
