Wow, what an exiciting series. There were some tense moments, and my stomach has been in knots for days, but I am SO glad that it's over! The big parade is today and as much as I'd like to be downtown today I'm kinda glad I'm not. The amount of people I've seen getting on the train today puts into prespective just how many people are going to be there. It's going to be chaos.

Derrik and I have become REAL big hockey fans over the past few years. Seeing the Hawks advance to the SC Finals was honestly one of the more exhilarating things I've ever seen!

Since it's been sometime (since before Christmas) I figured it was time to update you all on our lives once again. Our little girls both enjoyed Christmas very much, unfortunately Gretchen who destroys EVERYTHING otherwise wasn't too interested in opening her gifts but she's certainly enjoyed her new toys since. Her favorite seems to be a very noisy lawnmower that we maybe shouldn't have gotten her :)

Some of you may have heard Mary or I talk about Woot before. It's a site that sells one item every day, starting at midnight central time, at a discounted rate. Most of the time it is some sort of electronic gadget. Shipping is always $5 regardless of the size or weight of the item you buy. The item is available until it sells out or until midnight the next day, whichever comes first. They really have some great deals sometimes.

This past weekend we went to a Chicago Wolves hockey game (THANKS VIENNA BEEF!!) Derrik won tickets through a facebook contest and the four of us got to go for free!
