Gretchen turned one on Tuesday! I can't believe our little girl is one. She had a blast at her party and seemed to really enjoy the cupcakes, florescent pink may not have been the best choice :)

Our little girl is going to be 1 in just 18 days! It is absolutley unbelievable how quickly the time has passed. It seems like just yesterday we were still in the hospital!!

Summer Sunset Festival is weekend, and what a beautiful perfect weekend it will be! Saturday we will head out to the parade, this will be Gretchen first parade so I'm very excited to see her reaction to it all! She really likes music and has started dancing recently so hopefully she'll enjoy it!

Mary's parents came up this weekend to go to the Indycar race in Joliet with us. Her sister, Jasmine, came as well to watch the girls. Jasmine, Mary and I went to see Inglourious Basterds Friday night, which was awesome. The opening scene was incredible. There was a lot more subtitling than I expected, but it is a movie set in Nazi-occupied France, after all. It was a fantastic film though and I highly recommend it.

We missed them terribly, toward the end of the week I was going through serious withdraw!! So glad that they are back and that we got a short visit with my Momma! (thank you again for bringing them!)
