I haven't updated this since BEFORE vacation. Oops. We went on vacation, came home and a weekend later went to the Indy 500 again. Sure do love those free tickets. Dad has always said that the 500 gets in your blood. I really and honestly believe that now. I LOVE the 500. The atmosphere, the camaraderie, the cars, the smells. It's all amazing. The sound of the vehicles alone gives me goose bumps.

Our vacation is just under 3 weeks away. I can't believe that we are going to be on a vacation, without children, in such a short amount of time! We've been trying to get ourselves as prepared as possible, creating lists, purchasing items that we'll need ect. and I swear we think of something new every day that we get closer to our departure. It's one thing to pack for ourselves for the week, but also for two children, one being 7 months old.. makes things a little more difficult! As you all can imagine.

All is well, Derrik and I purchased a new laptop. The old computer (that Derrik has had since he was 16) has finally pretty much died. It still works, sure. But it's SLOOOW. Therefore, Grayce (and eventually Gretch) get to take possession of it. I am liking the laptop, it's kinda fun to lay in bed, watch Office re-runs on TBS and type an update to you all, ahhh technology!

Mary took me out for my birthday this weekend and we had our first night away from Gretch. It was supposed to be a total surprise but she ended up telling me we were going to do something a week or so ahead of time. That was a terrible idea because then I spent the next week prying everything out of her. I like to get clues and try to solve the puzzle. So it ended up not really being a surprise at all. Nonetheless, it was still a lot of fun.
